Polysulphate producer ICL moves up again in international business index of sustainability performance

ICL, the parent company of ICL Fertilizers that produces Polysulphate and other premium crop nutrition products, has again achieved an impressive score in the internationally respected Bloomberg Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Sustainability Index.

Rising up in the sustainability ranking

Based on 2018 data, ICL not only improved its score but is now the highest ranking amongst global fertilizer companies. The index is the result of Bloomberg analysts collecting and verifying data from more than 11,500 companies in over 80 countries.

The ranking process uses publicly available data, such as ICL's annual Corporate Responsibility, Financial reports. More than 250 parameters are taken into consideration. These include measuring sustainability performance in diverse aspects of environmental impact, Health & Safety, Fair & Diverse Employment, Ethics and Corporate Governance.

High standards of Polysulphate production

In this day and age, suppliers of products and services can expect to be asked about the standards of production and processes used. It is welcome then that environmental considerations, staff safety in the workplace and attitudes towards all employees and to ICL shareholders have all been independently assessed and found to score well, and to have improved for each of the years of Bloomberg analysts’ scrutiny.
