Polysulphate® is the world’s only natural 4-in-1 fertilizer and a key component of ICL’s PLUS family of fertilizers, designed to improve crop yields.

Mined in the UK in its natural crystal state (polyhalite), Polysulphate contains four essential nutrients: sulfur (S), potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), and calcium (Ca), all in sulfate form.

Polysulphate has a natural, unique dissolution pattern that releases nutrients gradually after application. This prolonged availability is a real plus for growers, as it reduces nutrient losses while also matching nutrient availability to the uptake requirements of crops. The net result, backed up by extensive crop trials, is that Polysulphate increases the nutrient use efficiency of crops, increasing their yield and crop quality.

Polysulphate stands out as an eco-friendly choice for farmers. With its natural composition – it is simply mined, crushed, and screened – Polysulphate has an exceptionally low carbon footprint. In fact, Standard, Granular, and Mini Polysulphate have the lowest carbon footprint (compared to similar products) of just 0.034 kilograms of CO2 equivalent per kilogram of product, clearly setting Polysulphate apart from other fertilizers. Premium: Polysulphate® Premium consists of uniform, robust spheres of Polysulphate®, whose smooth surfaces protects it from abrasion, humidity, and damage. Its spherical shape ensures a steady flow rate and a consistently broad spread during application. It blends with other granulated fertilizer materials.

Granular Polysulphate

Granular: Polysulphate® granules for direct application with spreaders and bulk blending.

Standard Polysulphate

Standard: Polysulphate® fine grade has NPK granulation and is designed for direct manual application.

Polysulphate is produced from a natural mineral called polyhalite, which is an evaporite mineral, a hydrated sulfate of sulfur, potassium, calcium and magnesium.

It is mined from the Polyhalite layer of rock, over 1000m below the North Sea, off the North Yorkshire coast in the UK. Polyhalite and undergoes a simple process of crushing and screening the rock and is then marketed as Polysulphate.

Polysulphate is available in its natural form. Preparing it for the market as Polysulphate involves no chemical separation or other industrial processes – it’s completely natural, organic and sustainable. Polysulphate has been approved by many global and national bodies for organic use.

Polysulphate dissolves steadily in the soil solution, thus having all nutrients available for plant uptake during the growth period. Being a natural crystal, it has a unique dissolution pattern, which releases its nutrients gradually after being applied to the soil. The prolonged release characteristic of Polysulphate means that as the four nutrients it contains are released, and they provide a continuing continuous, fresh source to the growing crop. This pattern matches the uptake timing of nutrients by the crops and minimizes the risk of loss of sulfate by leaching.
